Taxes, permanent residence and toxic assets: what are the risks Russians face should they partially emigrate to Europe / Delovoy Peterburg

Many Russians today reside for considerable periods abroad, or relocate their families to Europe. The laws of some EU countries can automatically make a Russian national a tax resident of the country in question – even if he/she did not plan on this, or, on the contrary, tried to remain a resident of Russia, where direct taxes are much lower.
