US sanctions against Russia: what to expect in future? / Legal Insight
In April, the US Congress presented the second draft law regarding sanctions against Russia since the beginning of the year. It is tougher that the DASKA Act which was submitted in February, with the main new development being a ban on any new investments in Russian energy assets. Sanctions pressure is increasing and there is no hope that sanctions can be lifted any time soon.
Artem Zhavoronkov, Specialist Partner at Borenius Russia, prepared an article for the May issue of the magazine Legal Insight and described the directions in which sanctions restrictions against Russia are spreading as well as what effect these might have in future.
