The 5-day IIPLA 2000 summit has come to an end
The IIPLA VIRTUAL IP SUMMIT 2020, devoted to intellectual property issues, was held from 19 to 23 October. Recent trends and the most topical issues in intellectual property were considered during the virtual summit. Over 2,000 experts in intellectual property from various law firms and organisations worldwide gathered on the virtual platform to discuss recent achievements in safeguarding intellectual property and to demonstrate their products, services and solutions.
The International Intellectual Property Law Association (IIPLA) is a non-government not-for-profit organisation founded in 2014. The IIPLA’s mission is to promote intellectual property and discuss the issues that lawyers face all around the globe. Therefore, to find a solution and to enable fellow professionals to form a network and discuss the solution, various IP conferences and events are organised in the USA, Europe and the UAE.
Vera Zotova, an associate from the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice at Borenius, took part in the summit as a speaker in a session devoted to the registration of trademarks and trade names and the risks associated with a refusal to register them.
