General changes in legislation: from 2020 to a new year / SVKK Club Online meeting
On December 22, the online club of the Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce held an online meeting for its members. The speakers were lawyers who raised issues of significant changes in 2020 legislation, discussed changes that will take effect in early 2021 and announced a number of measures relevant to enterprises in the coming year. In particular, the speakers highlighted topics of the most important tax events of 2020-2021, changes in Russia’s labor law and topical issues of migration law.
Andrei Gusev, Managing Partner of Borenius Russia, outlined the main legislative hits of 2020 and presented a forecast for 2021 in his speech. Andrei then told the audience about the new law regulating cryptoassets, amendments to the changes regarding pre-installation of Russian software, the agreement providing for protection of the EAEU trademark, sanctioned amendments to procedural legislation and about the state of proprietary rights reform.
