Comments of law firms on the news: “Titov has refused to work on the “London list” of fugitive businessmen” / Comment / Business magazine “Personnel management”
One of the latest hotly discussed news items was the refusal of Boris Titov, Russia’s business ombudsman, to work with the so-called “London list”. The “London list” (Titov’s list) is the conventional name of the list of Russian businessmen who have fled abroad (mainly to the UK) from criminal prosecution in Russia. However, after excitement broke out around this news, the business ombudsman abruptly changed his position and decided to continue working with potential “returnees”.
Andrei Gusev, Managing Partner at Borenius Russia, and Aleksandr Poychenko, a Legal Trainee in the firm’s Transactions & Corporate Law Practice, have written an article for business magazine “Personnel management” in which they have commented on the recent refusal of business ombudsman Boris Titov to work with the so-called “London list”.
