Journalists, software programmers, lawyers – all of them can create a “work made for hire”. But who will receive the rights to such works depends on the correct registration of the labor relationship. The employer can ask the employee to sign all the necessary documents, and then the employer will be the copyright holder. But the employee also has the same opportunity.

Vera Zotova, an Associate in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice at Borenius Russia, told online legal resource Pravo.RU what is important to provide for in the employment agreement.
